Fishing & Canoeing

Lake Louise is one of Canada’s most iconic lakes. On warm summer days, the lake is a perfect place to visit. But don’t be fooled! As enticing as the water looks, the water that makes up the lake is from the nearby ice pack slowly melting, making for an always-frigid dip into the blue glacial water. Instead, rent a canoe and a fishing pole for a couple of hours. Canoeing allows you to be out on the water, absorbed by the beautiful vibrant colors that surround you, allowing you to take in the area from a new perspective. Take your poles with you for a relaxing fishing trip out on the lake, or stand off the shore and let your reels fly.

Dining

Lake Louise is home to some incredible restaurants - many of which practice a farm-to-table ethos, bringing together the best of Alberta meats & produce, to pair with the incredible nearby growing regions in British Columbia. Sample authentic game meats at Deer Lodge paired with an incredible view and a beautiful Okanagan wine at The Fairview Dining Room or ride a gondola to indulge in cuisine at The Whitehorn Bistro.
